I met Iris in 2000 whilst I was on holiday with my family and my Sister Maureen and her partner George in Santa Ponsa, Majorca when Iris was away with Evelyn and we were in the same hotel. Maureen had known Iris a long time as they used to work together in Birmingham and they had remained friends. 

As Maureen and Iris spoke less in more recent years myself and Iris spoke more and she became my true friend. Always ready for a chat on the phone, which we did often, even if it was just a quick call to remind one another of a program we wanted to watch or a call before bed to check the other one was OK.

Iris was kind, friendly and thoughtful. A lovely lady who has many friends and family who love her and will miss her dearly. I know I miss her.
